The Police (read "Police") - British rock band formed in London in 1977. Trio consisted of: Sting (vocals, bass), Andy Summers (guitar, vocals) and Stewart Copeland (drums, percussion, vocals). The group became world famous in the late 1970's, and generally regarded as one of the first group has reached a new wave of success with the audience, playing in rock that was influenced by jazz, punk and reggae. Their album «Synchronicity» 1983, became number one in the charts of the UK and USA and has sold more than 8 million copies in the United States.
Despite the fact that officially the collapse of the group has never been declared, «The Police», except for a brief reunion in 1986, stopped working together in March 1984. In February 2007, they reunited to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the hit single «Roxanne», for a world tour that lasted until August 2008. «The Police» sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and became the most highly paid musicians in 2008, thanks to reintegrate their tour. The Group has six Grammy awards. In 2003, at the ceremony, the group «The Police» was introduced in the Hall of Fame rock n 'roll Tracklist :
